All the cultural events of Athens with only one click

There is now a direct and easy access to map and follow all of the cultural events in Athens thanks to a new and free application (app) by the Municipality of Athens “Culture is Athens”.

Available for mobile phones and tablets, the app has all the information about the actions and cultural events organised by the municipality and its collaborators.

In the new app, concerts, festivals, music, dance and theatre performances, screenings, exhibitions, as well as educational programs aimed at young and old are presented.

“We use the vast experience of our operators to unify and highlight the cultural fabric of the city. Under the ‘umbrella’ of Culture is Athens, we are creating for the first time an integrated application and a portal, which brings Athenians and visitors closer to the rich and high-quality cultural activities of the municipality. Recognising the impact of culture on our daily life and the quality of our lives, we are making a dynamic restart, having at the centre of every initiative the support of the people who work in its field,” noted the Mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakoyannis, on social media.

The pages of this original app and portal include the emblematic buildings and cultural spaces of the Municipality of Athens: Museums, libraries, art galleries, historical buildings, cultural spaces, permanent collections, but also information on public murals and sculptures: Everything that can be discovered by residents or visitors.

For the fastest search in the app and on the site, the sections are divided into the following categories: Events and Exhibitions, Creative Learning, Museums and Spaces, Art in Public Space, News, Where and When

In addition, the application and the portal – in Greek / English – are supported by the respective social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and YouTube) while the portal is accessible to people with disabilities.
