Athens’ Mayor, Kostas Bakoyannis, has received one of five awards at the inaugural “Partnership for Healthy Cities” Summit ( PHC), for Athens efforts in the prevention of overdose in drug users and for in its inroads in making drug overdose antidote naloxone more readily available. “Naloxone can make the difference between life and death…this means that a mother who has naloxone at home can administer it and save her child,” he says.
