Oxi Day celebrated in Damascus, Syria (PHOTOS)

Oxi Day was commemorated at the Divine Liturgy of the Cathedral of Mary in Syria on October 27.

With the blessing of Patriarch John the X, the Divine Liturgy was held at the Cathedral of Mary in Damascus, the day before the National Day of the State of Greece on October 28, presided by Bishop Romanos Al-Hannah, the Patriarchal Deputy and the Secretary of the Holy Complex, in the presence of Bishop Moses Al-Khoury and Bishop Arsanios Dahdel.

The Divine Liturgy was attended by the representatives of the Greek Embassy in Damascus Mr. Nicholas Protonotarios, embassy staff and friends of the community.

At the end of the mass, the clergy congratulated the Greek Ambassador and those present in the name of the Patriarch of the Patriarch John the X, conveying his blessing and fatherly prayers and wishing the Greek state every prosperity and blessing.
