The two athletes set the Guinness World Record for “most consecutive tandem bends” with 51, breaking the previous record held by

Dervas and Kotsimpos, parents of two children., first broke the Guinness World Record for “Most Consecutive Twin Bends” in December 2022.
George Kotsimpos has overcome significant injuries in recent years, including an arm injury that required two surgeries and an arthroscopy on his right shoulder. Limits. Apostolos Dervas, for his part, had to overcome an injury to his right arm in early 2023 that cost him a total of six stitches, missing significant training time.
In this cooperative exercise, each person faces in a different direction, with one athlete facing the other. They synchronise their movements, simultaneously lowering their body towards the ground and pushing back up to the starting position.
Unlike traditional push-ups, twin push-ups emphasise individual strength and endurance and the ability to maintain a single rhythm and alignment throughout the exercise. Twin bends often require high communication, trust and physical coordination between participants.
