Kasidiaris requested and received permission from Domoko prisons and will attend the ceremony accompanied by police officers.
Open reported on Saturday that the swearing-in ceremony of the new mayor of Athens, Harry Doukas, will take place on Thursday, December 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the Municipal Market of Kypseli.
The municipal council members, like Kasidiaris and the district councillors, will also be sworn in.
Immediately after the swearing-in, Kasidiaris will be on holiday, according to a decision of the decentralised administration, because he is in prison and will cease to be a municipal councillor.
