Kasidiaris got leave from prison to be sworn in as a municipal councilor

Present at the swearing-in of the new members of the board of directors in Athens on Thursday, December 28, will be the convicted member of the Golden Dawn criminal organisation, once a political party, Ilias Kasidiaris, who has been elected.

Kasidiaris requested and received permission from Domoko prisons and will attend the ceremony accompanied by police officers.

Open reported on Saturday that the swearing-in ceremony of the new mayor of Athens, Harry Doukas, will take place on Thursday, December 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the Municipal Market of Kypseli.

The municipal council members, like Kasidiaris and the district councillors, will also be sworn in.

Immediately after the swearing-in, Kasidiaris will be on holiday, according to a decision of the decentralised administration, because he is in prison and will cease to be a municipal councillor.
