Greek Shooting Champion Anna Korakaki Wins Silver Medal in World Cup Event Days After Winning Gold in the 10m

In the final with the 25m pistol, she faced the German world title holder

Anna Korakaki won a second medal, silver this time, in the shooting World Cup competition in Cairo, Egypt.

After her victory on Saturday (27/1) in the 10m air pistol, the Greek Olympic champion took second place in the 25m pistol on Monday (29/01) after a great battle with Doreen Vennekamp.

Korakaki was ranked 5th in the preliminary round of the competition and entered the final eight, where she improved her performance and went head-to-head against the German world title holder.

The two gymnasts reached equal points in the last round of the final, each having 34 accurate shots, with Vennekamp scoring 5/5 at the crucial point and beating the Greek champion 39-37.
