Born in 1933, Aliki's life was forever marked by the loss of her father during the war. Despite this hardship, she discovered a passion for acting, taking on leading roles in school plays. Her talent was undeniable, but her dream of a career in entertainment faced initial opposition from her family.
Undeterred, Aliki secretly auditioned for the National Theatre Drama School. She graduated in 1955, but her career had already begun with several theatrical performances, including a remarkable three-day turnaround to learn the lead role in "Romeo and Juliet."

Her beauty, innocence, and talent resonated deeply with audiences. They saw in her a symbol of hope and a brighter future. Adoration for Aliki transcended fandom; she was bestowed the title of "National Star," a testament to the deep respect and affection she held in the hearts of the Greek people.
In September 1960, her great performance as Madalena won Aliki her first Award of Performance in Leading Part in the Movie Festival of Thessaloniki. The same movie represented Greece in the international festival of Cannes and received critical acclaim.
