CORAL SPRINGS, FL – Greek chef Christos Bisiotis has captivated attention with his remarkable immigrant success story, recently featured in Fox News Digital. Bisiotis’s journey began when he left Athens for New York City, eventually finding himself cooking at the White House and now creating fresh meals for clients in Florida.
Fox News Digital highlights Bisiotis’s dedication as he consistently delivers prepared meals to Elsie Castelblanco at her Brickell Key apartment in Miami every Monday. Despite the 50-mile journey from Coral Springs to Miami, Bisiotis’s commitment remains unwavering.
Bisiotis’s story is one of perseverance and success. Arriving in New York City in 2007 with no connections, he initially slept in Astoria Park. His fortunes changed when he secured a job at Christos Steak House under the late George Stergiopoulos. From there, his career flourished, leading to roles at the Edison Ballroom and Eataly NYC Flatiron.
In 2013, Bisiotis’s skills caught the attention of former President Bill Clinton at a charity event. This led to Bisiotis becoming the first and youngest Greek chef to cook at the White House under President Obama. His time at the White House allowed him to introduce fresh pasta-making techniques to the kitchen.
Bisiotis’s culinary journey continued with notable experiences, including cooking for the annual Congress dinner and helping launch Locale Market in St. Petersburg. His time at Avra Madison and Avra Beverly Hills allowed him to cook for high-profile celebrities such as LeBron James, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Conan O’Brien.
The dream of opening his own restaurant brought Bisiotis back to New York in 2019. Unfortunately, his restaurant, Egéo, was forced to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic before its planned March 2020 launch. This setback led him to reassess his career and eventually relocate to Florida in 2020.
In Florida, Bisiotis reignited his passion for pasta, creating a new line named Bellita Pasta, inspired by his daughter Anne Bella. His pasta line features a unique pink pasta and is set to launch soon.
Alongside his pasta venture, Bisiotis has embarked on a new career path, preparing and delivering meals from Palm Beach County to Miami. Castelblanco, a 73-year-old semi-retired real estate agent, has praised Bisiotis’s culinary skills, calling him a “blessing” and an “amazing chef.”
Despite his punctuality, Bisiotis was late this week due to a special personal event—his wife gave birth to their baby boy, Andonios, on July 19, the same day he turned 36.
