Giannis Antetokounmpo sent off the court for a 2nd technical penalty after celebrating slam dunk (VIDEO)

By 6 months ago

A protest and a celebration sent Giannis Antetokounmpo to watch the continuation of the Milwaukee Bucks game against the Detroit Pistons from the locker room.

Giannis received the first technical penalty in the first half for protesting. What cost him the ejection, however, was a celebration that came in the second half of the Bucks' home game against the Pistons when he took a hard jab at Isaiah Stewart's face and then stared down his opponent.

The referees with an excessive decision - especially for the NBA - charged him with a second technical penalty and the "Greek Freak" was ejected (for the 4th time in his career) from the match.

The referees had lost control of the game early, both the Bucks and the Pistons needed clarification on their decisions.

Giannis, for his part, was looking for this phase against the 22-year-old tall man of the Detroit team with whom he has had intense battles in previous years.

He was annoyed by the severity of the referee who sent him to the locker room, sat for seconds on the courtside chairs and left irritated.

Impressive Lillard, decisive Lopez

Lillard managed to save the Bucks in the end, after scoring 18 points in the 4th quarter and killing Detroit. Dame stopped at 34, while Lopez had 14 and the decisive three-pointer. Giannis had 15 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks.

After this win, Milwaukee is 5-2, while the Pistons fell to 2-6 in a bad start to the season. On the losing side, Cunningham finished the match with 33 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists, while Sasser had 26 points and Hayes scored 14 points.

The Pistons shot 7/29 from 3-point range, while the Stags shot 11/37. The third twelve minutes that ended with individual 43-28 almost cost the Bucks, but they avoided defeat thanks to Lillard and Lopez.

Antetokounmpo posted after the game, writing "Great team win"
