On Thursday, 5th December 2024, the Kytherian Youth Association (KYA) enthusiastically hosted Elysian Lounge – VIP Greek Paradise, an unforgettable event at Double Bay’s exclusive and luxurious venue, Gitano.

This spectacular evening was in collaboration with the Lemnian Youth Association of NSW (LYA) and the Kalymnian Youth Society of NSW (KYS). The combined energy of the three youth societies and over 160 Greek and non-Greek attendees, including representatives from various Greek Associations and University Hellenic Societies, amplified the kefi (joyful spirit), which ignited an electric atmosphere that resonated throughout the night.

This evening marked the KYA’s first grand-scale event since the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic. However, due to passionate and determined committee members who value celebrating their Greek culture, the KYA is returning better and stronger than ever. This event also elevated the LYA’s and KYS’s profiles into the spotlight of the Greek-Australian youth scene.
Event attendees were treated to an extravagant $6000 bar tab alongside a delectable spread of Gitano’s signature tacos and empanadas, complemented by lamb souvlaki. Gitano’s exceptional hospitality was greatly appreciated, as they beautifully highlighted the cultural essence of our evening.

Entertainment for the night featured up-and-coming talents DJ Kumar and DJ ADMNT, who delivered an energetic back-to-back set that included a masterful mix of house music, modern Greek club hits, and timeless Greek classic songs. Alongside them was the skilled Bouzouki player Peter Mangafas, who added an authentic Greek touch to the night, creating an infectious rhythm to keep our spirits high. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to the success of our event!
