Greek shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis’ granddaughter Athina, who is the only surviving descendant of Onassis, is heading to Greece for the first time in 12 years.

Athina’s last visit was in 2007 when she accompanied ex-husband Brazilian rider, Alvaro de Miranda Neto, and watched him compete at the Athina Onassis Horse Show.

According to a report from Star, 34-year-old Athina will return to Greece this year to participate in a prestigious World Cup horsing event, which is said to be one of the most important horseriding competitions in the world.

The event is said to take place in July in Markopoulo, East Attica.

Athina, who is very passionate about equestrian and horses, is the only child of Aristotle’s daughter Christina and she inherited her mother’s fortune, with a net worth unknown to the public.

November 19, 1988, Christina Onassis sadly passes away aged 37
