Two friends, amateur fishermen, were with the boat off the coast of Chania, according to Zarpa News, specifically in the area of Gramvousa. At their fishing spot, they caught a 42kg monster fish at a depth of 177 metres by using the slow jigging technique.

The fish is called vlachos, related to the grouper. This is a trophy fish for any angler and quite rare.

Such fish can even reach 80kg!

It is noted that August is the best month for fishing since the largest concentrations are observed in the relatively shallow spots.
