According to an announcement by the National Commission for Telecommunications and Post, Greece on Thursday launched a tender to award frequencies to operate 5G networks in the country.
The auction concerns the 700-megahertz, the 2-gigahertz, the 3,400-3,800 MHz and the 26 GHz bands.
The starting price for the entire set of frequencies is set at €367.3 million.
The auction is expected to be completed by December 21.
OTE Telecoms, which is 46% owned and managed by Deutsche Telecom, Vodafone, Wind and Forthnet currently operate in the country.
