Greek PM Mitsotakis, and EU Commission President von der Leyen meet at Davos

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Thursday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. 

According to government sources, they exchanged views on the agenda for the extraordinary European Council on February 1, particularly the Multiannual Financial Framework of the European Union under discussion. They also discussed issues related to the European People's Party.

In a post on social media, von der Leyen said, "A good chat with Kyriakos Mitsotakis ahead of the Special European Council. Supporting Ukraine, building a stronger industrial base, and managing migration requires a united European answer. And we are confident that we will get there."
