Cyprus kicked off the competition portion of this year’s Eurovision with Silia Kapsis and “Liar,” composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos.

The 17-year-old singer appeared first on stage and gave a very professional performance in an impressive white ensemble curated by Stelios Koudounaris and flanked by four male dancers.

In addition to the excellent cinematography, the performance was enhanced by graphics that referenced the liquid element throughout. In the bridge of the song, Silia indulged in an explosive choreography, while shortly before the end of the song, the dancers removed her blouses and danced half-naked.

The performance received a standing ovation, and Cyprus is now vying for qualification to Saturday’s Grand Final.
