The plot
In Mumbai, nurse Prabha’s routine is disrupted when she receives an unexpected gift from her estranged husband. Her younger roommate, Anu, searches in vain for a quiet place in the city to be alone with her partner.
A trip to the beach allows them to find a place to express their desire.
“This film is about the friendship between three very different women. And often times women are pitted against each other. This the world, the way our society is designed, and that’s really unfortunate,” says director Payal Kapadia.
“But for me friendship is an important relationship because it can lead to greater solidarity, inclusivity and empathy to each other. These are the values we should all be striving for,” she added.
