Alex Patelis, who has served as the chief economic adviser to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for over five years, has announced his resignation.
Reflecting on his tenure in a Facebook post, Patelis stated, “In 2019, our country was still under capital controls. The greatest economic achievement of this government is the return to investment grade and stability.” He will officially leave his position on December 31.
