Mayor George Papanikolaou highlighted the significant changes, stating, "The 3.5-kilometer horizontal route along Glyfada’s coastline is finished, with progress underway on 2.5 kilometers of vertical paths right beside the water. These improvements include pedestrian and cycle paths, newly planted trees, and green spaces. In the near future, open sports fields and children’s play areas will also be introduced. Both residents and visitors can already enjoy the revitalized coastline, featuring a modern seafront walkway, an international-standard cycle path, and various other enhancements."
