Spanoulis Aims for Team of Synergy as Antetokounmpo Shines in Greece Win

Athens, Greece -Following a dominant 102-75 victory against the Bahamas, Greek National Team coach Vassilis Spanoulis emphasized the importance of team chemistry, even with the presence of superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Antetokounmpo, in just 15 minutes of play, showcased his prowess with 14 points (5/6 FG), 5 rebounds, and 1 assist. While acknowledging the temptation to solely rely on the two-time NBA MVP, Spanoulis stressed a more holistic approach.

"It would be crazy not to utilize Giannis's abilities," admitted Spanoulis. "However, my main goal is to create an environment where every player feels empowered playing alongside him."

He further praised Antetokounmpo's court vision and basketball IQ, stating, "Giannis possesses exceptional reads and performed even better than my expectations. He's undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best player in the world. It's an honor to have him represent our nation, and he's recognizing the strength of his teammates. We are a unified force, dedicated to playing for each other, and that's the foundation of our future success."

Dinos Mitoglou also shone brightly for Greece, contributing 18 points and 3 rebounds in a powerful display of team depth. With Spanoulis's vision of collective synergy taking shape, Greece appears poised for a strong showing in upcoming FIBA tournaments.
