A family business, Lambros Law Office LLC is raising money for the Hellenic Cardiac Fund, to help Greek children receiving cardiac care at the Boston Children’s Hospital.

“To us, charity means helping those less fortunate than us and making sacrifices, no matter the size, in order to help better their situations. We feel like charities focusing on children are extremely important, as children are the future,” Nick Lambros said on behalf of his family’s business, Lambros Law Office LLC.

The Hellenic Cardiac Fund was founded by Chris and Bess Pappas after a personal family struggle. They established this vital volunteer program to help children suffering from severe and life threatening illnesses, which has grown to spread the gift of health and life to many corners of the world.

The 100% volunteer staff provides translation services for visiting Greek families, rides to and from the airport, apartments for long term patient families to stay for the most serious cases and financial assistance for families over and above insurance coverages.

“We support this charity since we have seen it’s good work first hand. This includes providing translation help, transportation, and housing for the families of children receiving cardiac care here in Boston. They have helped over 1400 families in the past 35 years, including family friends from Cyprus,” Nick Lambros continued.

The charity has helped more than 1,400 families to date and has received numerous awards for selfless giving including the Athens Academy Award and in 2002 the Ellis Island Medal of Honour, which is the highest award given by the President of the United States to non-military people who have selflessly given back to those of their heritage and roots.
