Greek American millionaire Fotis Dulos, the real estate developer charged with murdering his estranged wife Jennifer Farber Dulos, was hospitalised in New York on Wednesday following a suicide attempt, as a Connecticut judge ruled he would not have to deal with a discrepancy in the bond he posted until and unless he recovers.

According to reports, Dulos was found unresponsive at this on Tuesday after he got called earlier in the day to an emergency bond hearing at noon.

That hearing was cancelled when Dulos did not show up, and another hearing was scheduled for noon Wednesday at court in Stamford. It will address questions about the collateral Dulos used to post a $6 million bond for his release from jail earlier this month after he was charged with the murder of his wife, Jennifer Dulos, who was last seen in May.

Jennifer Farber Dulos, the 50-year-old mother of five, disappeared in May 2019 in Connecticut, after she dropped her children off at school. Investigators found her car near a park not far from her home, but she has not been seen or heard from since, and officials now believe she is dead.

The couple was in the midst of a bitter custody battle. Jennifer moved out of the family home in 2017 and filed for divorce, court records show. She had told officials she was afraid of her husband before her disappearance and his threats to take their children to Greece.
