Erdoğan even expressed the view that Macron is a problem for France.

“My wish for France is to get rid of Macron as soon as possible. Otherwise, they will have to deal with the ‘Yellow Vest’ protesters for a longer period of time, or the ‘Red Vests’ may also appear,” he said.

He also said France’s mediation position in Artsakh was no longer valid, believing that Turkey has locked out the European country from participating in the settlement process of the Armenian region.

It is noted that this statement comes a few days before the EU Summit that will consider the possibility of restrictive measures in Turkey.

The comments also come as Turkey issued a new NAVTEX to conduct live fire exercises in the maritime space of Greece’s sovereign rights between the islands of Rhodes and Kastellorizo, as reported by Greek City Times.
