Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo won’t play Tuesday against the Warriors due to knee soreness.

The Bucks ruled out the two-time reigning NBA MVP shortly before the 7 p.m. PT tip off at Chase Center.

Antetokounmpo was originally listed as probable entering the match up, but Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said the forward felt some discomfort in pregame warm ups.

Antetokounmpo is widely expected to win the MVP award for a second consecutive season after averaging 29.5 points, 13.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists. In the opening round of the playoffs against Orlando, he averaged 30.6 points, 16 rebounds and six assists on 59% shooting from the floor and 39% from 3-point range.
