COVID-19: 2,972 new cases in Greece on Wednesday, three deaths

There were 2,972 new COVID-19 cases confirmed on Wednesday, of which 19 were identified after checks at Greece’s borders.

The total number of cases amounts to 466,441 (daily change + 0.6%), of which 51.2% are men.

Based on the confirmed cases of the last seven days, 131 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,275 are related to an already known case.

There were three new deaths attributed to COVID-19.

Since the beginning of the pandemic a total of 12,870 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19.

95.1% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.

There are 125 patients being treated by intubation(60.8% men).

Their median age is 65 years.

89.6% have underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,770 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

161 new patients with COVID-19 were admitted into hospitals (daily change + 18.38%).

The average seven-day admission is 129 patients.

The median age of cases is 41 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of death is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
