Greece is once again the most popular holiday destination for Serbian travelers, despite the temporary stagnation in international bookings due to the war in Ukraine and its aftermath.

This Greek National Tourism Organisation (EOT) participated in the 43rd International Fair of Tourism (IFT) 2022 in Belgrade, which is considered the most important industry exhibition in the Western Balkans.

This year’s exhibition was centrally titled “Between Mountains and Seas” and took place from March 24 to 27, reopening after being canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

EOT participated with a large booth (210 sq.m.), with the participation of the Regions of Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, Epirus, Western Greece, the Ionian Islands and Crete, the Municipality of Volos, the Halkidiki Tourism Organisation and private companies.

The Greek pavilion attracted the interest of a large number of visitors, including important Serbian tourism businesspeople and a number of journalists.

The journalists sought more specific information on the current conditions of entry into Greece and the easing of health protocols.

Also, on March 25, a special event was held for the anniversary of the Greek Revolution, with the participation of the Greek Ambassador to Serbia, Georgios Diakofotakis, leading tourism agents of the country, representatives of Serbian media and company executives.
