The statement

“We draw strength and faith to be able individually and collectively to overcome the great difficulties and to walk the path of progress, self-confidence and social cohesion.

“On this great day for Orthodoxy, the great unity and commitment to the goals of the future remains the demand for our country. To stand by those who are most in need so that we can overcome the great difficulties.

“With faith we will remain faithful to the path we have set out, for a Greece of prosperity, self-confidence and social cohesion. I wish from the bottom of my heart to every Greek man and woman everywhere on Earth a very happy celebration.”
