Construction works in Elliniko are progressing swiftly, as the foundation of the Riviera Tower, the country's first skyscraper, has been completed. The largest and continuous-duration concrete pouring ever undertaken in Greece was used for the foundation of the Riviera Tower.

Specifically, as stated in a recent announcement, LAMDA Development, after placing 111 piles with a diameter of 1.5 meters to a depth of 50 meters, proceeded with the crucial step of completing the foundation of Riviera Tower, the first green skyscraper in our country, with a height of 200 meters and 50 floors.

The foundation system of Riviera Tower follows the standards of studies and constructions for similar tall buildings worldwide, such as the Burj Khalifa and the Petronas Towers. As noted, for the first time in Greece, specialized engineers, technicians, and labour personnel worked in eight-hour shifts for more than 40 consecutive hours without interruption, completing a pioneering concrete pouring method unparalleled by Greek standards.

The total concrete required reached 7,500 cubic meters, with eight concrete pumps and over 120 concrete transport vehicles (barrels) running over 1,000 routes from five different concrete plants in the Athens region simultaneously. The total iron reinforcement amounted to 1,760 tons. According to the construction schedule of Riviera Tower, the concrete pouring for the basements and the ground floor slab, which will be visible to all from Poseidonos Avenue, will follow by the end of the year.
