Today in Sydney, at the coastal Carss Bush Park, the joint celebration of the Epiphany took place, organized by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia. Alongside the religious festivities, a Greek festival was also organized.

The bright and sunny weather, befitting the Feast of Lights, served as an ally in drawing a crowd to the coastal Carss Bush Park in Sydney for the celebration of the Epiphany, organized by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia.

From 11 in the morning, hundreds of fellow Greeks began gathering at the seaside park in the suburb of Carss Park, surrounded by areas such as Kogarah, South Hurstville, and Blakehurst in the southern part of Sydney, which is home to a large number of residents of Greek origin.

Around 1 PM, the consecration of the waters took place, followed by speeches from dignitaries. It's worth noting that this religious event is celebrated in this specific location for the first time.

Until now, the joint celebration of Epiphany took place at Yarra Bay, near La Perouse in the Randwick Municipality, on the northern side of Port Botany.

This year, for the first time, the celebration comes to Carss Park, combining the Feast of the Epiphany with the Greek festival, which was previously held in February by the Saint Basils organization.

This year, the Archdiocese, the Intercommunity Committee of the Archdiocese, and "Saint Basils " joined these two events, and the name "Epiphany Greek Festival" was given to the combined celebration, previously known as the Greek Summer Festival.
