The married couple co-founded We Heart Holidays, a production company that will create Christmas films.

Variety reported that Maria Menounos and her husband, Keven Undergaro, “with a full slate of ideas, scripts, and talent,” will begin producing Christmas-themed films as early as next year.

If you know my story with my now husband, you know we share a love of filmmaking and a love of Christmas. We met making a movie over 20 years ago and, since then, our films have played the likes of Tribeca and South by Southwest,” says Menounos. “We’ve also hosted an annual screening of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ for the past two decades. It is our lifelong dream to announce the launch of our very own holiday movie production company, We Heart Holidays! to make the kind of movies we love around the holidays we love.”

Undergaro adds to Variety, “With Maria now being a proven talent in the holiday movie space, our collective assets in terms of scripts, talent, cost-effective production and wide-ranging promotional platforms, as well as a high consumer need for more inspirational content, it makes so much sense to cofound We Heart Holidays. The goal for WHH is to produce holiday scripts that are not just watched once but viewed every season a la ‘Elf,’ ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ ‘A Christmas Story,’ etc., in a means both audiences and investors are enriched.”

The couple have been working together for years to build the media business. They founded AfterBuzzTV in 2012, producing after-shows of various hit series. Menounos hosts the daily health talk series Heal Squad and Noovie and Noovie Trivia, which are shown daily in 65% of US movie theatres and play to 750 million viewers annually.

Undergaro has built a strong marketing wing to promote the couple’s products, including the soon-to-be-released holiday films.

Their latest venture, which also produces content for GSTV, is developing and selling ‘Maria: Discover More’, a lifestyle talk show, and ‘Maria At the Airport Trivia’, both with Reach TV. The two series will be shown daily in 2,400 gates at 90 airports and 500,000 hotel rooms.
