Gold at the Shooting World Cup

This year, the ISSF World Cup Shotgun takes place from January 12th to 24th in Rabat, the capital city of Morroco.

According to the ISSF website, approximately 222 competitive shotgun shooters from 44 countries are competing in the tournament, which began last Thursday.

Since the tournament began, competitors have been able to test themselves in ten different shooting events. The shooters will have the chance to win both medals in the event itself and score points to increase their place in the World Rankings.

During the skeet event, Mavrommatis got off to a strong start but only scored enough to secure second place in the semi-finals with 28 out of 30 shots. However, in the final, the Greek athlete was able to close the gap and ensure a gold medal with 38 out of 40 shots.
