Australian dance artist Vassy, known for her multi-platinum hits, recently received the prestigious Billions List Award from APRA AMCOS in recognition of her remarkable achievement of surpassing two billion streams for her single "Bad," which was released in 2014 and features David Guetta and Showtek.
Expressing her gratitude for the award, Vassy shared, "It feels incredible to be back in Australia. Thank you, APRA AMCOS, for honouring me with the Billions Award for 'Bad', reaching the 2 billion stream milestone! Being surrounded by my Aussie community was truly special. I'm deeply thankful for the love and support I've received over the years. I'm fortunate to have such a supportive team who have believed in me since day one."
Now, the artist unveils “Midnight” – a disco dance pop extravaganza inspired by classic UK house and disco sounds. Produced by superstar duo Punctual, who has worked with the likes of Joel Corry, Becky Hill, Calvin Harris, and more, “Midnight” is filled to the brim with lush, euphoric instrumental choices tied together by VASSY’s lavish, soulful singing range.
Last year, Vassy had the opportunity to open for the iconic group Aqua in the US, following her win of the Future of Dance Award at the Miami Electronic Dance Music Awards. Reflecting on her journey, Vassy expressed her gratitude, stating, "To be recognized for my art and contribution to the Dance Community is a monumental career highlight.
