No Greek victims in Istanbul terror attack

The Greek Foreign Ministry has confirmed that there were no Greek citizens among the fatalities and injured victims from the terrorist attack at Ataturk airport in Turkey.

Furthermore, the Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias expressed his support and sympathy for the people of Turkey and all those affected by the tragedy from Tuesday’s attack further reiterated Greece’s condemnation of terror in any shape and form, “Greece is not pleased with such attacks. On the contrary, they are inhumane; they are against the very nature and the lives of people and the whole world. It is the result of blind ideology, passion and extremism,” added Kotzias whilst speaking to Greek media.

Meanwhile, President of Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos called Turkey’s ambassador to Greece Kerim Uras to convey his support whilst Greece’s Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras contacted Turkish President Erdogan directly and expressed his condolences and solidarity in the aftermath of the deadly terrorist strike.
