Nikos Aliagas, the popular Greek presenter of some of the biggest TV shows in France, will be immortalised in wax according to a recent announcement by the Parisian museum Grevin; a decision that reaffirms Aliaga’s gravitas and celebrity status in popular French culture.

Aliagas took to Instagram to share a photo of the early stages of the work praising the sculptor Eric Saint Chaffray, who appears to be chiselling away at the prototype of Aliagas.

The French-Greek entertainer was born in Paris to Greek immigrants and has carved out a name for himself working as a journalist and TV presenter. He became one of the most popular faces on French television after hosting the well-known French reality program Star Academy, and is currently the presenter for the country’s version of The Voice.
