The flamboyant celebrity mayor of Marathon, Ilias Psinakis has honoured US actors Tom Hanks and his Greek American wife Rita Wilson by awarding them the titles, ‘World Ambassadors of Marathon’’ in recognition for their love and promotion of Greece over the years.
“We appreciate so much that you promote and support Greece all these years all over the World! We are so proud and obliged! Thank you to both of you,’’ read Psinakis’ facebook post which noted the ceremony.
