Unsurprisingly, Greek beaches have found themselves again on another ‘World’s Best List’, this time compiled by Canadian online travel website FlightNetwork.

According to its first annual list, FlightNetwork has included the beaches of Navagio and Elafonissi in its top 50 best beaches.

“This comprehensive list will take you from the azure waters of Australia to the postcard-worthy shores of Africa, Europe, North, Central and South America, Caribbean, Asia and everywhere in between,” FlightNetwork said.

The list’s top five beach beaches place Grace Bay Beach, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands as the best beach in the world. Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Island, Australia ranks second and is followed by Anse Lazio, Seychelles; Pink Sands Beach, Bahamas; and Navagio Beach on Zakynthos Island.

Greece’s Elafonissi Beach, located at Crete’s most southwestern point, ranks 30th on the list.

According to the travel website, The World’s 50 Best Beaches is the most definitive list of beaches ever assembled — a diverse collection of off-the-beaten-path slices of paradise from every hidden corner of the planet.

To create the list, FlightNetwork consulted over 600 of the world’s top travel journalists, editors, bloggers and agencies, to gain insight from their opinions and expertise.

“By asking the top travel professionals, FlightNetwork has created the most trustworthy and accurate list out there to inspire travelers and help choose their upcoming winter holiday destinations,” the travel website said.
