A 16- year- old has tragically lost his life at Andreas Papandreou in Keratsini, Piraeus, while trying to take a selfie. The incident happened on Friday at around noon. The teenager who was at the park with hi friends, reportedly climbed on a rock to take a selfie. However, he slipped in a gap, falling from a height of 60 meters.
At present, it is not known exactly what caused him to lose balance, however according to reports, staff working at the park were alerted that a young man was in danger. When they went to the spot, the teenager was on the ground, but was still alive. They did not move him until the ambulance arrived.
His friends are reported to have said "we should not have let him do it." The group of youngsters had climbed the rock from the back, as access through the park was not possible. The young man was rushed to hospital by ambulance, however despite doctors' efforts, they were unable to save him and he passed away a few hours later.
