This year, the Half Marathon in Crete offers runners the chance to run along a beautiful route at one of the oldest cities on the island and will be held on Sunday 7th October 2018 at Arkalochori.
Crete's Half Marathon is a great opportunity to visit Crete, see where different civilizations have flourished throughout the centuries and to enjoy its beauty and nature.
The Half Marathon is an international event, not just a unique opportunity for runners from Greece, but abroad as well.
There are 4 races, the half marathon (a circle race in the center of Crete passing across some of the most picturesque villages of the municipality Minoa Pediadas and through olive groves and vineyards) 10km (a run to Houmeri, a village in Crete, a U-turn and finish at the Arkalochori exhibition center), 5k (a circle run inside the village of Arkalochori) and 1km for children (6-12years).
