Refugees block national highway to protest poor living conditions

On Monday afternoon around 100 refugees and migrants living in the nearby Malakasa Hospitality Center blocked the Athens-Lamia national highway to protest against poor living conditions.

The road-block was initiated to protest against living conditions at the Center which had been flooded earlier on Monday due to heavy rainfall in the area.

According to Protothema.gr, the protest that latest more than three hours caused disruptions to traffic on both sides of the highway causing delays and congestion.
