On Sunday the 9th of September, a record number of 25,000 people attended the annual family-friendly event, “Let’s Go Greek” festival in Sydney, Australia.
The festival is organised by The Greek Orthodox Parish and Community of Parramatta St Ioannis, and has become Parramatta and Western Sydney’s premier Greek Cultural event.
Once you walked through the gates, you didn’t know where to start or what to do first as there was a jam-packed program with lots of things to see and do. But of course, sipping a Frappe was a priority and the first thing to do.
There was lots of Greek dancing and live Greek music, plenty of market stalls to purchase little gifts, a variety of delicious Greek food, rides, and activities to be enjoyed by everyone, and cultural exhibitions full of history.
As the evening came to an end, an amazing array of fireworks closed the successful “Lets Go Greek” festival for another year.
