Greece’s alternate Foreign Minister George Katrougalos, will be arriving in Brussels today to participate in the Council of Foreign Affairs of the European Union.
Katrougalos will also have the opportunity to meet with the Foreign Minister of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides and the Foreign Minister of France Jean-Yves Le Drian.
At today’s session of the EU Council of Foreign Affairs the discussions will focus on the situation in Central Asia ahead of the upcoming EU-Central Ministerial Meeting, on the course of reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the recent elections and on the developments in Ukraine. The humanitarian crisis in Yemen will be discussed at the working dinner.
Following the session, there will be a joint meeting of EU Foreign and Defence Ministers which will examine EU’s initiatives in the area of safety and defence among them the Civilian CSDP Compact and the aspects of the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO).
