Skopje to begin changing all official signs to “North Macedonia” as of today

The new official signs in Skopje, displaying the name "Republic of North Macedonia" are printed and ready to be placed around the country as of today, Monday the 11th of February.

The verbatim will be sent today from Athens to Skopje, announcing that the process of both the ratification of the Prespes Agreement and the protocol of North Macedonia's accession to NATO has been completed.

From now on, in all international organisations, in bilateral relations and within the country’s new documents, Skopje will be referred to by its new constitutional name "Republic of North Macedonia".

Labels with the new name will be posted in all government buildings as well as at the border of the country. The first sign with the country’s new name will be installed today at the border with Greece.
