Greece took home three Gold Awards this week at the Gourmet Waters International Contest (AVPA) 2019, which took place on Monday 1st of April, in Paris, France, with Greece coming first in the“Balanced Still Water” and “Still Water of Character” categories.
Three leading Greek water labels won gold medals in the prestigious contest, with “Theoni” being named the best “balanced still water,” while “ATHOS” and “Zeus of Olympus” shared first place in the “Still Waters of Character” category.
It is the 17th award received by THEONI waters, which entered the bottled water market in 2013, with the construction of the most modern Greek bottling facility of the natural mineral water “Theoni” in Vatsounia, in the prefecture of Karditsa.
The International Contest AVPA, Paris 2019, brought together more than 75 waters from 5 continents, all competing for the prestigious titles.
“Water has no smell in the absence of volatile contaminants. However gourmet water has a specific taste, corresponding to the characteristics of its origin. It is tasted like coffee or vegetable oils. The only difference being that the flavor is only based on the taste perception induced by the cocktail of minerals,” said the organisers of AVPA.
