Greece’s Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is scheduled to visit the United Arab Emirates today Tuesday, following the conclusion of his official visit to Saudi Arabia on Monday.
During his visit to Saudi Arabia, the Greek PM had a meeting and a working lunch with King of Saudi Arabia and later met with the country’s Deputy Prime Minister and heir-designate to the throne, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
According to government sources, talks focused on regional developments and investments, while targeted investment projects will be discussed during a March visit to Riyadh by Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis and Tourism Minister Charis Theocharis.
The two sides voiced concern over developments in the wider region and they noted that cooperation between Greece and Saudi Arabia contributes to stability. They also noted common views on a series of issues of regional interest.
The meeting, the same sources added, reaffirmed that Monday’s visit is the springboard for expanding collaboration in a series of sectors, suc as trade, investments, tourism and defence.
