Coronavirus update: Greece records 3,134 confirmed cases

On the same day Greece welcomed the world by reopening for tourism, 13 new coronavirus cases were announced, bringing the total number to 3,134.

Of the total, 697 are people who were infected abroad and 1,781 were infected by already known cases.

A total of 13 people are intubated in the ICUs, 4 of which are women.

The death toll has also risen to 184. Of the deceased, 56 were women and the median age of all was 76 years. An overwhelming majority (95.7%) of patients had some underlying condition and/or were aged 70+.

Some 254,854 Covid-19 diagnostic tests have been carried out in Greece since the start of the outbreak in the country.
