With pride, up there on Mount Hymettus we put the Greek flag today!
Above the small church of Prophet Elias where it is visible from everywhere.
It is a tribute to the Greeks who sacrificed themselves in the ’40s, defending our homeland.
This year’s anniversary of OXI (‘No’) day is like no other.

We celebrate it in the middle of a pandemic, which does not allow for parades and festive events.
We celebrate it whilst Turkish aggression has exceeded all limits of audacity and provocation.

For all these reasons we wanted to do something special.
On our mountain, Hymettus we placed the Greek flag of 800 sq.m., which we see from every house.
Times are tough, but this time too we will make it.
Let us raise our heads and our flags with pride!
