Greece reaches the Water Polo World League Super Final

Greece, Montenegro and Italy reached the Men’s Water Polo World League Super Final after finishing in the top three positions in the European qualifying league.

On Sunday, Greece secured a comfortable 12-7 win against Montenegro.

“We achieved a victory against one of the best teams in the world in recent years, but we just won a qualification to the final phase and not a medal,” coach Thodoris Vlachos commented after the game.

“I remind my players to keep their heads down, pay attention and keep that tremendous desire for team play, as we did today, in order to achieve what we dream of.”
