Yair Netanyahu, the son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, went to Twitter to call for the end of Turkey’s occupation in northern Cyprus.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is attempting to lead the Islamic World against Israel in the face of clashes between Palestinians and Israeli police in Jerusalem that escalated into an exchange of rockets and missiles.
After blasting Israel as a “terror state” on Saturday, Erdoğan held separate phone calls on Monday with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the chief of the Hamas terrorist organisation, Ismail Haniyeh.
Following Erdoğan’s phone call, Hamas launched over 100 rockets against Israel from the Gaza Strip.
In turn, the Israeli Air Force responded with strikes, killing at least 20 people, including 9 children.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group, Jamil Elyan, said “We have entered the stage of total war on all fronts of Palestine.”
Erdoğan refers to Israel as an “occupying force” despite the fact the Jewish State has near total international recognition.
Meanwhile, the Turkish occupation of northern Cyprus since 1974 has been deemed illegal.
Greek Cypriots, with support from the UN, the U.S., the EU, Russia and China, want a bi-zonal bi-communal federation with political equality, in accordance to United Nations resolutions – something Turkey rejects.
The so-called “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” (TRNC), is an illegal entity established after the Turkish invasion of northern Cyprus in 1974.
It is recognised by no other state in the world besides Turkey, and was deemed an illegal entity by United Nations Security Council resolutions 541 and 550.
