Having delivered his pledge of loyalty “Under God, I pledge my loyalty to Australia
and to the people of New South Wales,” new parliamentarian, the Honourable Peter
Poulos MLC took his oath of allegiance and signed the roll of the NSW Legislative
Council.

Peter Poulos is a Member of the 57th Parliament.

“I feel very humbled and privileged to have the honour to serve the people of New
South Wales. My commitment remains to work every day to contribute to the
success of the Berejiklian Government and help ensure our state remains safe and
prosperous,” Mr Poulos said.

He is the first Greek Australian Liberal in the NSW Legislative Council since the late Hon (Jim) James Samios in 2003.

Having served as a Rockdale Councillor for twelve years, and Deputy Mayor for a year, he has been dedicated to delivering services and infrastructure needs of the local community – ensuring an improved financial position that allowed the Council to deliver town centre improvements, new and upgraded playgrounds and foreshore improvements.

Mr Poulos has lived in Bardwell Park his entire life and with his family attends the Parish
of St Stephanos Greek Orthodox Church in Hurlstone Park.
