After five days of pressure from the Eurpean and NGOs, a boat with 102 illegal immigrants was allowed to dock in Cyprus, Cyprus Times reported.

The boat was first located by radar at around 13:30 on May 20.

It was initially decided that the boat, accompanied by the Port and Maritime Police, would go to Larnaca, but then the migrants remained on board under the discreet surveillance of the police.

Today it was decided that the boat with the 102 migrants be taken to the fishing shelter of Agios Nikolaos in Protaras.

At around 11.30, the migrants disembarked at the fishing shelter and are staying in tents set up by the Civil Defense.

COVID-19 testing were performed.

Cyprus has been experiencing a massive increase in illegal immigration and has stated that they can no longer receive illegal immigrants.
